A Traditional Male Soga’imiti. It’s a privilege that not every Samoan man is entitled to receiving within his lifetime. High chiefs, village leaders and other nobility are some of the few that can be honored with this tradition. Much respect is given to any individual who can withstand the process of pain, due to using traditional Samoan tools, instead of the modern tools and needles.
